Development for Android Auto: Another app debuts on the Google system

Another navigation app launched on Android Auto. Now HERE WeGo is also available for Android Auto. The beta version of the app can now be used on the infotainment system in the car as well.

Here WeGo is a navigation solution for smartphones and map content is also the basis of infotainment systems for many car manufacturers. These are very accurate and always up to date. However, since this is a beta, there may still be issues with navigation.

Hence the developers are also seeking user feedback so that the app can be further optimized for Android Auto.

Android Auto: The new design is ready

Android Auto users can also look forward to a new design.

It was recently announced that Google is looking to give Android Auto a makeover. The new look should name the project “Coolwalk” and give users a better overview. The area for navigation has been expanded. Media apps may now take up a tile or two to the left of it. So the user can see all the information at a glance.

Especially with Android Automotive, Google cleans up just fine. So far this system has been available only in Polestar vehicles. But users repeatedly complained that the ad was too technical and short. Innovation will be implemented here soon. However, it is not yet possible to decide when the new interface will be available for all services. Google is probably still testing this internally.
