Do exercise:EM Bronze for Dauser on Parallel Bars

The athletes of the German Gymnastics Federation booked a medal at the European Gymnastics Championships on Sunday after a mixed final performance. Lucas Dusser (Untraching) won bronze at the bars. After finishing second in the European Championships four years ago at Cluj, he finished third with equal points alongside Christian Buman of Switzerland. The 27-year-old received 15.100 points for his demanding practice after qualifying as the best for the final of the top eight with 15.166 points. In the medal battle, Dauser faced only 15,300 points and the Russian David Beljawski (15,133) lost to Turkish Ferhat Arikan.

The day before, Stuttgart’s Elizabeth Seitz missed a chance to sleep in the final on uneven bars after a fall. The Seitz program had an exercise that provided only enough difficulties, which she also mastered in training and qualification. In the final, however, she could not catch the upper spur in the deciding part and fell to the mat. Gold and silver went to the two Russians Angelina Melnikova (14,500) and Vladislav Ursova (14.333). The German record champion said, “This fall shocked me, but I know I’m on my way towards the Olympics.”

A short time later, Sage’s longtime training colleague Tabeya Alt announced her career at the age of just 21. In ARD, he justified it as a result of prolonged injuries. “It was not an easy decision for me, but it is right and sensible,” she said. Alt celebrated his greatest success with the team when he reached the team finals at the 2016 Olympic Games. A year later, he was also part of the World Cup balance beam success in Montreal / Canada. When Pauline Shaffer won, Tabeya Alt won bronze.
