In France alone, more than 100,000 households were affected in the south-west. As reported by the media, it burned in an area of ​​about five square kilometers between Narbonne and Carrassonne. Hundreds of firefighters and several firefighting aircraft were in action, with no damage to people initially.

In Catalonia alone 146,000 homes and other customers were affected, the Spanish Civil Defense wrote on Twitter. Major disruptions were also reported from the capital region of Madrid, Andalusia, Extremadura, Aragon and Navarra, as the newspaper continued.
