The June edition of Sony’s digital game event State of Play had it all: on the night of June 2 to 3, various manufacturers presented several innovations in about 30 minutes. An overview.

“Horizon: The Call of the Mountains”: Up close and personal with the machines

“Horizon: The Call of the Mountains” aims at the new . to achieve full immersion by using Play Station VR2 headsets offer. The first big trailer shows off full VR gameplay on PlayStation 5. As a new character within the “Horizon” universe, you must explore a strange world and avoid the dangers hidden in it. Highlights include scenes in which Riyas, a hero armed only with a bow and arrow, has to fight against bigger machines. Thanks to virtual reality, climbing routes should also appear particularly realistic and impressive. A release date is not yet known.

“Resident Evil 4” remake: Old horror with new graphics

It was rumored for a long time that there would be a reboot of the fourth part of the survival horror series. Now it’s official: Capcom is working on a remake of “Resident Evil 4”. Protagonist Leon S. Kennedy is once again on the hunt for the US President’s kidnapped daughter and has to face a bloodthirsty sect and virus mutants.

The background story remains untouched. However, the remake will add some new aspects to the story. The developers promise a modern gameplay that’s paired with the feel of the original in the PlayStation Blog. “Resident Evil 4” returns is set to release on March 24, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation VR 2.

Repartee is essential in “Street Fighter 6”. Capcom plans to release the sixth installment in its Beat ‘Em Up series in 2023. Players also meet – in both senses of the word – old acquaintances such as Chun-Li, Luke and Ryu. Among other things, the character of Jamie is new. As the gameplay trailer shows, the single player story mode offers a more open game world for the first time. There’s also Battle Hub, an online multiplayer mode.
