King Mercedes-AMG GT: Sports Coupe Coming in 2023

Accordingly, the transaxle design of the predecessor is obsolete. AMG GT Leads the engine and transmission. This makes room for standard four-wheel drive and active rear-wheel steering. The chassis relies on conventional steel springs in combination with active dampers and optional roll stabilization.

In the cockpit, the SL and GT should be largely identical.

Of course, SL Drive also provides a portfolio blueprint. The four-litre V8 biturbo, which will compete in various performance levels, is considered the set. Like the 63, it should deliver 585 hp, like the SL, and the 53, like the SL, should deliver 476 hp. Switching is done by AMG’s own SpeedShift nine-speed automatic transmission. Thus the top models are faster than 300 km/h. However, the C 192’s platform is also suitable to accommodate in-line six-cylinder and even four-cylinder engines. They may later follow as entry-level models for various markets. A ’73 version, which brings a V8 combined with electrical support for 800 hp, is also conceivable.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT should arrive in 2023 and then probably first with the V8 engine.
