And this sprint was tough: at first, Englishman Jarnell Hughes started early and retired. The second attempt should have started off smoothly, with the remaining seven world-class sprinters giving each other a thrilling sprint.
With great surprise: First, Canadian Andre de Grasse took the lead before the Italian was caught and caught about 30 meters from the finish with the Canadian. Jacobs won in 9.80 seconds ahead of sprint stars Fred Kerle (USA) and Andre de Grasse (Canada).
