One killed in a shooting in America’s high school
The shooting took place at a school in the US city of Knoxville. At least one person is a hit. Police forces arrested a suspect.
On Monday, at least one person was killed in a shootout at a school in Knoxville, Tennessee. Police in Knoxville only reported that the man dead at Austin-East High School was a male.
The message also stated that a police officer had suffered at least one bullet and was taken to the hospital with fatal injuries. Currently no other victims are known. A male suspect was arrested.
Police also said that the security forces had taken an alleged armed suspect to the school. When they reached the suspect, firing was done.
In the United States, repeated fatal firearms attacks occur in schools. For example, in February 2018, a 19-year-old man murdered 17 people at his former school in Parkland, Florida.
