Netto Marken-Discount has published a recall. Ready-to-eat food that may contain red plastic parts is affected.

Germany – A recall is not unusual at all. There are many reasons for this, whether it is contamination by aflatoxin, for example, incorrect information on the packaging or, as in this case, foreign matter in the product – the consumer may be at risk of health hazards. The recall was published on Friday (9 December) and affects ready meals from Sevapasi. according to information from productwarning.eu The manufacturer of the product, Buss Ready Meals GmbH, cannot rule out “red plastic parts” […] can be included.” (more miss on ruhr24).

In particular, it is about the following product:

  • the product: Pote Cevapchi with Balkan Vegetables and Rice
  • material: 300 gram pack

Recall of Cevapcici ready meals: branches of NETO affected throughout Germany

The recall applies to Neto stores across the country. Parts of the following federal states are affected: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

Consumers who have bought Sevpachi ready meals should not consume it under any circumstances. Instead, the product should be returned to the relevant point of sale. It is also possible if there is no longer a receipt. Other poté ready meals and best-first dates for sevpachi are not affected and can be consumed without hesitation.

Recall on NETO: Foreign substances in ready meals are a health hazard

Consuming products containing foreign objects such as metal fragments, glass splinters or even plastic parts poses a fundamental health risk. Injuries to the mouth and throat may occur – internal bleeding is also possible (more service news on ruhr24).
