Especially important in an electric car: range. Thanks to changes in the cell chemistry, the gross storage capacity has been increased from 71 to 95 and from 95 to 114 kWh. Net remains 89 and 104 kWh, so a maximum range of around 500 or 600 kilometers without charging is possible, at least according to the WLTP standard. Loading talents have also been improved. The new Q8 e-tron is now fueled by direct current on the motorway with 150 or 170 kW (previously 120 and 150 kW). In the best case, it can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 26 minutes. For home there is an option of processing 22 instead of 11 kW from the wall box.

The 4.91 meter long SUV still offers a trunk with a volume of almost 600 litres, in the Sportback it is 555. The charging cable can be placed in the front compartment (62 liters). Also important: The Q8 is the first model since the 1990s to carry the “Audi” name. And the rings are now chromeless and two-dimensional.
