Haiti: Armed gang kidnaps Catholic priests and nuns

In Haiti Five Catholic clergy and two nuns are kidnapped by a gang. A spokesman for Haiti’s bishops’ conference said the pastor was kidnapped in Croix-des-Bouquets Parish. They really wanted to participate in the appointment of a new pastor. A priest and a nun are French.

According to media reports, the kidnappers are seeking a ransom of one million dollars, which is equivalent to about 840,000 euros. AFP news agency reports that police suspect an armed gang called “400 Mavozo” behind the kidnapping. Newspaper too “Le Nouvelist” Wrote that members of this gang were responsible for the crime.
