New CEO Kent Graniture at BCD Tour

Since 1 February 2021, Kent Granichter has been the Managing Director of BCD Travel Switzerland, headquartered in Zurich. In this position he succeeds Michel Jjellner, who left BCD in late October 2020 and is now working at Medicall.

In his new role at BCD, he will report to Karen Smithson, Senior Vice President of BCD Travel, Europe. Kent Graniture sees over 15 years of experience in business travel. Most recently, he was travel manager Switzerland for UBS AG.

Kent Granitcher is a business travel management professional with an in-depth understanding of corporate travel programs, events and meetings, and travel agency relationship management.

He began his career in the travel sector as head of a medical flight delegation working for the UN MINURSO mission in Western Sahara. In 1996 he completed his training as a tourism specialist in Samadan and then worked as an all-rounder at a tourist lodge in Canada. Back in Switzerland he worked at Crossair as an operations manager.

In 2002 the tourism specialist, who lives in Arisdorff, switched to Artessionession / Cotravel, where he was responsible for organizing concerts and events as well as group trips. In 2005, he held the position of product manager for the United States and Canada at Kenchat Region. His main tasks included leading the team, purchasing products, designing catalogs, and establishing business relationships with service providers.

Prior to joining BCD, Kent Greichier was in charge of operations and supplier negotiations for UBS’s Swiss travel management team for twelve years. He was also responsible for the implementation and management of online booking tools at UBS. He was particularly successful in providing additional value to passengers, improving processes and optimizing budgets. (TI)
