Ronnie Remme moves from Canada to Germany - Ski Ace wants to start in DSV at World Cup

The two-time Olympic participant said she was warmly welcomed by her new teammates and “made this big move less scary” for her.

Remay found success internationally in the winter of 2018/19. That time she got her only podium finish at the World Cup when she finished second in the alpine combination of Cranes Montana.

At the World Championships in Arey, she finished fifth in the same discipline and was close to a medal. In the past two winters, Remme has not been able to make the top 15 in the World Cup.

Change of nations in skiing is possible provided both the national federation and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) agree. The Austrian-born Romade Baumann is already successfully active for German ski racers. He won a silver medal in Super-G for DSV at the 2021 World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
