This is how the queen celebrates her birth anniversary with pomp

Also on Saturday is the “Platinum Party” at Buckingham Palace. The BBC is hosting a concert in honor of the Queen and is inviting stars from around the world. The bands Queen and Adam Lambert, Diana Ross and Duran Duran are some of the prominent names in the line-up. 22,000 spectators are expected to attend the event.

Sunday: Anniversary Lunch and Pageant

The weekend will end with a big anniversary lunch on Sunday. More than 60,000 people across the UK are said to have registered to host community meals in their neighborhoods this weekend. The objective is to make new friends and celebrate the queen together.

Last but not least, the jubilee contest for the head of the royal family will take place on Sunday. More than 10,000 people, including the army, are involved in the move.
