THQ Nordic: A Remake, Outcast 2, Jagged Alliance 3, and more

Build: THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic has announced a slew of new games. New release includes a remake of Destroy All Humans! 2 as well as the sequel to Outkast and the classic Round Tactics Jagged Alliance. There are also free games.

an expected remake

Destroy all humans too! 2 is being built from scratch by THQ Nordic. Since the remake of the first part, which released only last year, was well received, expect an announcement. In Part 2, which is subtitled “Reprobed” in its new version, the alien Crypto joins the “null monkeys” – humans – to take revenge on the KGB for the destruction of their spacecraft while subduing Earth. . The plot is set in a satirically distorted version of the 1960s. PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S | Games including a split-screen co-op mode for the X are to appear “soon”.

An unexpected sequel to Outkast

Outkast has a cult hit and a landmark reputation: the title laid the foundation for modern open-world games in 1999. A sequel by the original developers failed in 2014 due to lack of interest on Kickstarter. After purchasing the trademark rights, THQ Nordic dared to try a new one, hiring the development team behind the Classic.

In Outcast, the protagonist Cutter Slade will again travel to the alien world Adelpha, which was subjugated by robots. The task will be to save the inhabitants in the open world. It talks about a non-linear story, a crafting system, and a strange world to explore.

An actual sequel to Jagged Alliance

The previous new announcement also revives a long forgotten one. 22 years after Jagged Alliance 2, a real third part will appear. Meanwhile there have also been sequels with subtitled names, but qualitatively they could not compete with good entertainment. In fact, Part 3 should be based on its predecessor and become the “real successor,” the publisher promises. That means the return of a tactical map for mission selection and management of your territories. The objective again would be to forcibly remove a dictator from a Banana Republic, for which a different mercenary force could be alternately drawn into battle. This time around, the likes of developer studio shows that THQ Nordic is serious. Hamimont Games gave good games with Tropico and Serving Mars.

Jagged Alliance Gold From 1994, which included the add-on Deadly Games, it’s a bit hard to digest for today’s tastes. Originally published in 2006 Titan Quest Anniversary Edition Still playable today as a true evergreen, as can be seen from the two, albeit modestly recorded, expansions over the years. At its core, it is a Diablo-style action role-playing game set in ancient Greece. In addition, many of the publisher’s games are being sold at low rates in parallel with the free campaign.
