It is not yet clear if Sammy was also suspended because he was not present at the West Virginia taping last week. Guevara has commented on the incident. The 29-year-old said that Kingston did not, as is usually the case, addressed in the run-up to a promo, topics he did not want to discuss. According to Sammy, it’s actually a normal process to avoid such tension, as there is no script in AEW. He told Eddie what subjects he wanted to avoid, while Eddie is said to have not. After Sammy called his opponent “fat” in the promo, Kingston accused him of the exact same and the situation escalated. Sammy said this is not the first time Kingston has behaved aggressively. Fightful Select also reports that it was actually Eddie Kingston who wanted to work with Sammy Guevara and that after his feud with Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Sonjay Dutt, the geniuses who wanted to feud with Sammy were given to him.
